Why subscribe?
Writing exclusively about TMT stocks across the USA and Australia. Relevant for independent investors, financial analysts, and professionals generally interested about the competitive dynamics that are these fast moving industries.
All writing is by an Australian American who has spent equal parts of his professional career in media, telecommunications, and technology.
What to expect:
Mag 7 coverage: I know you already receive 10+ write ups on how the Mag 7 are performing. For better or worse not covering them would be like ignoring trying to explain the movement of Pluto while ignoring the movement of Jupiter
SMID Focus: I’ve identified 400 companies listed in the US and a further 20 companies listed in Australia that I will consider my potential universe. In the end I’ll probably only write about 40 such companies but I’ll try and keep it varied. I have a cutoff consideration of $350 million (~A$550m) in annual revenue as one of my core tenets is that these industries are scale driven. This will hopefully also ensure that there is minimal liquidity concerns for most people to whom this newsletter is targeted.
An independent take. I’ll disclose any time I have a financial interest in a company I write about. Generally I run a fairly diversified, and small, portfolio that there will be no more than a grain of sands worth on any company I’m likely to write about.
An offbeat take: It is fairly common for me to receive quizzical expressions whenever I discuss my perspective with colleagues and other market analysts. My mind for better or worse tends to follow tangents more than the main story. This is honestly horrible for strategic planning (my day job), but quite useful for finding variant views that help balance market narratives.
